“Sometimes when things are falling apart
they may actually be falling into place”
Do you ever have one of those days where everything seems to be going wrong?
Your alarm clock picks this day to sleep in so you start the day late.
In fact, it looks like the power went off in the middle of the night because the clock keeps flashing the repeating numbers 222 over and over and over. What is the universe trying to tell you?
You then stub your toe on the edge of the bed frame rushing to get dressed. Even though you are alone you look around embarrassed, making sure no one is watching.
(Because well, if someone is watching you get ready in the morning looking like a doofus, stubbing your toe is the least of your worries).
Your coffee maker picks this day to crap out on you. So you say “F-it” and heat up yesterdays mug you forgot on the counter, throw it in a travel mug, and rush out the door.
Traffic! (enough said)
Summer construction (again, enough said)
On your second detour from said construction you hit a pothole and splash your craptastic coffee all over your new pants…
Only to realize you missed your exit and have to drive 10 miles out of your way because the next exit isn’t for another 5 miles.
“Why ME!!
[bctt tweet=”Sometimes when things are falling apart they may actually be falling into place…” via=”islandgratitude”]What if…
As you whip a crazy edge of your wheels u-turn to get back in the right direction you are sideswiped by a fancy veeeery expensive sports car.
Out steps the man of your dreams.
Dimples in all the right places.
Thick strong arms (conveniently carrying an emergency medical kit) stretches his San Francisco Fire Department T-shirt to the breaking point.
Concern written all over his golden suntanned face, he rushes to pry you out of your car.
You can’t breathe – maybe because you’re still dazed by the air bag exploding into your face or maybe it’s just him.
His smoldering eyes blaze into your bloodshot, too early in the morning, over slept, half baked looking eyes.
Your heart beat escalates to the pulse and beat of “Staying Alive” you pass out as he rushes you to safety.
Inspirational quotes that inspire us to quote them
It could happen.
Or maybe I spent too much time looking at the reviews for a steamy romance by J. Lynn who as chance would have it uses this quote in her book, Fall With Me. (but I plead the fifth)
The point is, sometimes we need a reminder that even when it seems that bad luck is furiously chasing us down like a zombie on speed, things sometimes turn out for the best.
Just make sure you are wearing clean underwear if you plan on doing a hairpin u-turn to get back on track…
